Community guidelines
Last updated: October 30, 2026
JoDate is for meeting people, building real relationships and planning a happy wedding. These guidelines keep the community safe, kind and genuine. They apply to profiles, messages, reels, stories, comments, groups, events and wedding vendor listings.
1. Be real
- Use your own name, age and recent photos
- Only post photos and videos of yourself, or ones you have permission to share
- One personal account per person — no fake or duplicate profiles
2. Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, insults, hate or discrimination — including about tribe, nationality, religion or skin colour
- Take "no" for an answer — if someone doesn't reply or asks you to stop, move on
- Keep comments and group chats friendly and on topic
3. Keep it safe and legal
- Never ask for or send money, gift cards, crypto or bank details
- No offering, asking for or arranging paid sex or "escort" services — we report this to the police
- Nothing involving anyone under 18, ever
- No nudity, sexual content, violence, weapons or drugs in photos, reels or stories
4. Wedding vendors
- Keep your listing, packages, prices and deals honest, and honour the deals you advertise
- Only post photos and videos of your own work
- Answer quote requests honestly and treat couples with respect
5. No spam or selling
- No advertising, promotions, links to other sites or business schemes in profiles, chats, reels or groups
- No repeated or copy-paste messages
6. What happens if rules are broken
Our team and moderators review reports and new content. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts — with or without warning — and we pass serious cases to the police.
7. Help us keep JoDate safe
If something doesn't feel right, tap Report. Every report is read by our team, and the person you report is not told who reported them.
