Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform
Child Safety Standards

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform is an adults-only (18+) service. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, and we act on every report.

1. Our standards

  • Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform is only for people aged 18 or over. Members confirm their date of birth when they sign up, and accounts belonging to anyone under 18 are removed.
  • We strictly prohibit any content or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers children, including: child sexual abuse material; sexualised images or descriptions of minors; attempts to contact, groom or arrange to meet a minor; trafficking or sextortion; and sharing or requesting such material.
  • Accounts that break these standards are permanently banned, and we do not allow them to return.
  • These standards apply everywhere on Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform: profiles, photos, video intros, messages, events, wedding listings, and our website and apps.

2. How we prevent and detect it

🔞

Adults only

Date of birth is required at sign-up, and under-18s cannot register. New profiles can be held for review before they appear.

🤳

Verification

Selfie and ID verification help confirm that members are real adults.

👮

Human review

Our team reviews photos, video intros and reported content, and checks suspicious accounts.

🚨

Urgent alerts

Every report about a minor or child safety triggers an immediate alert to our safety team by email and phone.

3. How to report a child-safety concern

  • In the app or on the website: open the profile or conversation, tap Report (⋮ in the app), and choose "Child safety concern" or "Underage". You can also block the account in the same step.
  • By email: info@jodate.com — anyone can report, even without an account. Please include the profile name or link, and what you saw. Do not send us the material itself.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.

4. What we do when we receive a report

  1. The safety team is alerted immediately and reviews the report as a priority.
  2. The reported account is suspended while we investigate, and the content is removed from view.
  3. Where child sexual abuse material or exploitation is confirmed, we permanently ban the account, preserve the evidence as required by law, and report it to the relevant authorities.
  4. We cooperate fully with law enforcement requests related to child safety.

5. Reporting to the authorities

Jodate African Dating & Wedding Vendor Platform complies with applicable child-safety laws. We report confirmed child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant regional and national authorities, including:

  • the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org;
  • in Nigeria, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Nigeria Police Force;
  • the police and child-protection authorities in the country where the child or the account is located.
